A Guitar Hero Amoung Us

Keira loves the Guitar Hero guitar. She puts it on and pretends to play all of the time. She also likes to dance and head bang (we didn't teach her that, it just comes natural I guess) while someone is playing the game. Her hair is such a mess from putting on the guitar herself and then dancing to the music in her head. Crazy girl. I am still waiting on getting Christmas pictures from my mom's camera since I am such a good parent and forgot my camera both days of Christmas. So hopefully we will have some cute pictures of that soon.

A Little Basket of Fun

Keira has found a basket that I have that usually has books in it and has decided that the books no longer need to be in it (they have been thrown all over the living room, how nice). She has decided that it makes either a nice seat, which she BARELY fits in or just a nice place to stand and watch some TV or make silly faces or whatever fancies her at the moment. I tried to put it away and get the books back in it during her nap yesterday and it lasted about 5 minutes before it was out again. Why do we even buy her real toys?

Keira was wanting something fun to do this morning before church so Rick gave her his Guitar Hero 3 stickers that he wasn't using and she thought they would be fun to put on the couch. But the couch wasn't quite as fun as she thought it would be so she started to decorate her face. I kind of helped her with the skull but she put the star on all by herself. We wish that Rick would use the flash but he has been against it lately so sorry for the dark pictures.

My Middle Name is Trouble

What happens when you have a toddler, a tree and a piano? Lots and lots of trouble! Keira thinks it is fun to climb up on the chair in front of the piano and take down ornaments. She does take a break every once and a while and plays the piano too. She is quite the multi tasker. We just hope that we can survive Christmas without her killing herself. I am thinking that the corral gates are going to be coming out soon.

Keira and the Snowman

I got a snowman that plays the piano for Christmas a couple years ago. Keira thinks it is the funnest Christmas decoration that we have. She makes it play over and over again as she honks it's nose and "helps" it play the piano. She gets a little frustrated though when the keys don't play what she is playing. She knows how this piano thing is suppose to work!

Just as a side note, we have not floated away in this lovely flooding that we have been having. If you have seen anything on national news (for those of you who do not live around here) I am sure that you have seen the news that I-5 is closed and all of the places they show covered in water are Centralia and the surrounding areas where Rick works. Since he works for their newspaper he has been quite busy and has lots of fun trying to get to work everyday. Let's hope for a quick recovery!

Entertaining Jada

Like I said in the last post, Keira and Jada have become best friends. This is not Jada's idea of a good time though. Keira thought that Jada would like to see all of her pretty barrettes and other hair things so she spread them out in front of her. Jada is less then enthused by the whole thing as you can see. Jada likes to sit on the couch and remember when she could have a nap in peace. Poor dog.

The First Post

OK. Here is the first post on our shiny new blog. After lot of peer pressure from cousins and my husband I have finally got one set up.

Keira decided the other day that the toys I have stored in her room are more fun than the ones out in the living room so she has been playing in there non stop. She also wore that dog backpack that has a leash on it (for when I start letting her walk around in the mall and other places) all day long. Funny girl.

She has also become best friends with our dog, Jada, although Jada tries to stay as far away from her as she can. But when Keira has food or the ball, Jada is at full attention.
