Twins?

Here are my cute girls at about the same age in their Easter dresses no less. They look so much a like. I can't believe it. I love that the pictures show their personality with smiles. Keira is more reserved while Elaina gives the full (toothless) grin. I just wanted to see how they were comparing so I thought this would be an easy way to do it. Now everyone else can see too. :)

Spring has Sprung...

..and that means it is time for the dreaded yard work. When we bought this house last summer the grass in the backyard was up to our waists in some places and was over run with weeds and other plants. We sprayed Round Up on the whole thing and pretty much let winter run its course. Now we are digging in to make it a livable backyard and it is hard work. So here is a little of what we are working on. We are digging out most of the back yard to even it out and get rid off lots of rocks and old wood in the back. We believe at one point it was a very loved yard with lots of gardens with beauty bark and lined with rocks, stepping stones, and cool logs. So hopefully we will be able to update you as it looks better.

Keira got some sidewalk chalk for Easter and finally had a nice day to play with it. We have two cement patios in our back yard and this one is completely filled with beautiful drawings she worked on all day. I am glad we finally have a backyard we can let her play in.

Food = Mess

Don't you love when they start to feed themselves? These crackers are so messy but they must be soooo yummy!

Easter Dresses

Here are my cute girls in their Easter dresses. This was the first time I put a barrette in Elaina's hair and it was so cute. Her hair is getting so long! We had a great day of going to church and then I slept the rest of the day. Yay for my weird schedule.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and remembered the true meaning of the holiday.

Easter Morning (sortof)

We decided to do Easter morning Saturday morning for many reasons. The main one was the Sunday morning is just too hectic for us since church is at 9 and I don't get off work until 7 am. The Easter Bunny "hid" Keira's brand new basket and a few eggs and she had so much fun discovering the fun things. She got some candy, a new Dora umbrella, sidewalk chalk and watercolors. She wanted to go outside right away to test her new sidewalk chalk but it is raining (what a shock) so maybe she will have to go test the umbrella instead.

Beautiful Eggs

Keira dyed her Easter eggs on Wednesday. She thought it was the most fun thing she had ever done. She mixed and mixed the eggs while they were dying. She had very bright ones because she wanted them to sit in the dye a really long time. Such an artist! Even though there were 6 colors I only let her do 3 since I only boiled 8 eggs to begin with. She chose the colors herself. Now I wonder if she will actually let us eat them.
