Babies, Babies, Babies...
Anyway, a lot of cousins have been wondering when I would find out what I am having and when I will be tested for gestational diabetes again. Isn't it nice that we have so many cousins and family that worry about us, especially when it means we may have to give up chocolate for a couple months? Well the answer to that is March 18, when I will be doing both of those things. What a busy day it will be. So everyone keep your fingers crossed that I don't get G.D. again and lets hope everything is happy and healthy with the baby. Also, if you want to leave a comment with your guess if it is a boy or a girl that would be fun too. I think boy, Rick thinks girl so we aren't much help there. ;)

Future Flohawks of America
So I was telling some cousins the other day that I have been trying to get a picture with Keira wearing her Flohawks beanie that her grandpa gave her a while ago. She loves to put it on and walk around the house in it. If you tell her to go find her hat she runs around until she finds it and puts it on. Funny stuff. The other picture also shows a new favorite pass time which is to use my keys to run her bike. Smart girl.
Keira has also finally started to speak some English. She has been understanding everything we said but was reluctant to say anything that remotely sounded like any languages I know. She now says Jada (the dogs name), Uh-oh, Daddy (she can say mom but prefers to simplify things and call both of us Daddy), Hi, and yesterday she started saying no and so then I also taught her yes. She is a smarty pants so I know that now she has finally started saying things her vocab is probably going to explode in the next couple of months. Fun stuff.

Ok so maybe this should be a separate post but I am here now and so it is not going to be. I just got back from the WOSSA conference last night. It is a 2 1/2 day conference for those in the septic system industry (WOSSA mean Washington Onsite Sewage Association). My dad has been many things on the board including the President a couple years ago and he has also been the chair for the conference I guess for 5 years so this is the 4th year that I have helped. It is really exhausting but can be fun. Plus I get paid. Always a bonus. Usually Rick goes with me but this year it wasn't worth it for him to go so I went alone. It is the first time since we have been married that we have been apart overnight and I have also never been away from Keira that long but I didn't break down and it sounds like Keira survived also. So today is the day to catch up on sleep. I don't have any new pictures but I thought I would tell you what I have been up to. I think I will get back to my napping. :)

Mom, I am on the Phone!
Keira is the queen of gadgets. I think she will surpass Rick and my knowledge of all things electronic by the age of 3 (and we are pretty savy when it comes to our electronics!) She loves to call people on the phone and talk to them. Usually they are just the voices in her head but sometimes she gets lucky and calls random people from my contact list or whoever I last talked to. So if you ever get a random phone call from me and I have hung up on you or left you a blank message just know that Keira sends her love. :)
Many of the cousins have been telling of the horrors of switching to the 1:00pm church time and I share in that. We have tried everything and finally have had to work out a system which involves one of us missing sacremant so that Keira can sleep in the car. We have yet to find another system that even remotely works. Keira has decided that she does not like nursery without Mom there, so I am going to be in the process of weening myself away from her in the months to come. Yet another joy I know that many of you have faced. I must admit, after she has interrupted Gospel Doctrine twice and Relief Society once with her screams of bloody murder, I have gotten to know many people in my ward now. They have come up to me and introduced themselves and shared in the memories of their children not wanting to go either. So maybe it is a blessing in disguise.

Grandma's House is More Fun!

Christmas in January
Keira got a Mr. Potato Head for Christmas from her Aunt Andrea and she thought it was quite funny but I think that Andrea also was having a little too much fun with it.
The picture with my dad and the money is a very common happening when he and Keira get together. He likes to bribe (?) Keira although I don't think she gets it although she probably has more money in her savings account now then I ever have.
Keira kept trying to get to Aunt Andrea's stocking goodies and though no one had caught her, I think the picture may prove otherwise.
Of course we have the self portrait.
Keira and cousin Audrey (yes, we are lucky enough to have a cousin Audrey on both sides of the family) were such good friends on Christmas Eve. They chit chatted and "shared" toys but not very willingly sometimes.
I thought that I should add a picture of Rick and myself just to prove that we do get our pictures taken however rarely, which is fine by me. We got booster packs of Magic cards and if you don't know what that is, don't worry, it just means you aren't a nerd. ;)
