Monkeys Have to Eat Too!

Rick is going to kill me for posting this picture. He wasn't even that thrilled that I took it. I had to though. I was laughing so hard. Keira made him wrap up George and then feed him just like we do with Elaina. Burp cloth and all. She loves to feed all of her dolls and stuffed animals then she wipes off their mouths with the burp cloth . It is so cute. Monkey see, monkey do. ;)

Fun in the Sun

We went to Rick's company BBQ on Saturday and of course didn't bring our camera. However, thanks to MySpace, someone at Rick's work did take some pictures of our cute kids so I downloaded them. Keira had so much fun on the big toy they had there (too bad we didn't get any pictures of that). They also had a chicken that they were waiting to poop on someone's square to win a prize. I guess kind of like Cow Pie Bingo only a chicken is smaller and easier to control? As you can see, Elaina was thrilled to be there as well. She pretty much ate and slept the whole time. Which is pretty much all she does anywhere these days. We are taking advantage of it while it lasts.

Pierce Photography Studio Now Open!

Ok, so no one is begging me to start my own studio after seeing these pics, but when you have such cute models who cares? Can you tell that Elaina is getting BIG?! Last week at her two week appointment she weighed 9 lbs and was 22 1/2 inches long. I can't believe that she is already three weeks old. I also can't believe that Keira is driving me so crazy. lol. Does anyone know any tips for 2 year olds that do everything they aren't allowed to do and nothing that they are? Some days I seriously just want to lock her in a padded room and leave her in there for about a year. Good times had by all. It is just one of those days.

Who Doesn't Love George?

One of Keira's favorite characters is Curious George. She loves the books and the tv show and her stuffed animal. This morning I laid Elaina next to George and she was trying to reach for him to chew on. Pretty good for a baby who isn't even two weeks old yet.

Two Cute Girls on a Hot Day

So yesterday wasn't the hottest day ever but it was humid. We were all doing everything we could to cool off but nothing worked. Elaina spent the day passed out and this was one of the hottest parts of the day. Keira wanted her picture taken too but wouldn't back up from the camera. We are glad that there is a cooling trend heading our way. We are tired of being hot. I am officially ready for fall. If it wants to come early fine by me.

Forever Sisters

So Keira has decided that this big sister thing might be ok. She has gotten used to the crying and thankfully Elaina is pretty good about not crying too much. Just a little shout out every once and a while that she is hungry or wants a little attention. I was holding Elaina and Keira jumped up on the couch and tried grabby her away from me. After having a little talk about being gentle with the baby (not for the last time I am sure) I let her sit and hold her. She hasn't wanted to before now. So they are best friends now and Keira just loves the baby and was so excited that she was still here this morning when she woke up. Aren't we all? :)

Elaina Noelle

Elaina Noelle was born July 31, 2008 at 1:43 pm. She was 7 lbs 14 oz and 21 inches. I was induced at 7 am so she came quickly (although it didn't seem like it at the time!) Keira likes her except for when she cries. Then Keira tends to break down into tears too. Hopefully that will be short lived. We just got home so we are happy to just relax and have life get back to "normal."
