Portraits

Here are some cute pictures that were taken yesterday at JCPenney. I have never taken the girls to get pictures taken by myself at a studio before and I remembered why! Actually Keira was great. She smiled big for every picture and did exactly what we told her to do. Elaina wasn't having any of it and didn't finally warm up until the very end. She still was trying to run away but at least we got some semi-smiles. I have learned some things about ordering and such but we are going again in a couple weeks for family pics so hopefully it will go well too!

Countdown

I just wanted to point out that we are into the days in my countdown clock for Andrea coming home. I am so excited! I am so proud of all that she is doing while she is gone but I will be so glad to have her back home. I can't wait for her to see (and meet) her nieces. There is so much to catch up on the letters and emails can't make up for. The countdown is on!

Hermana Inman

We just got this picture of Andrea with her new companion yesterday. We are always excited to get a picture of Andrea because it rarely happens. Her companion is fresh from the MTC and Andrea gets to train her during her last transfer before she comes home. I am so proud of all she is doing and I can't wait to see her next month. Time is really flying. Keira is really excited to see Aunt Andrea even though she doesn't really remember her. I told her that Aunt Andrea will be able to teach her more Spanish like Dora speaks and she thinks that is really cool. Maybe we will have a bilingual child. :)

Keira's Christmas List

I had Keira give me a list of things she wants for Christmas and once we got past the first five minutes of her describing them wrapped and being under the tree she told me a lot! She is really excited for Halloween and Christmas and it is fun having her look forward to these things. I have given my thoughts in () but she came up with everything on her own so this must be what she wants! We sent this to her Grandma's but I wanted to put it on the blog for recording purposes. So enjoy. :)

Keira's Christmas List

1)Coloring Books

2) Curious George book (she would love any books but she specifically said Curious George. We have tons of them, though, so let me know which one you are thinking of before you buy it, if you get Curious George.)

3) Crayola Color Wonder books (they have tons of them in the Crayola aisle of Michaels)

4)a new hat (she wants the bubble hat from Curious George, but good luck with that :)

5) kid board games (we have Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and Memory but any other preschool game would be loved!)

6) Christmas candy

7) Pirate Costume (she is starting to love dress up or pretend that she is different things)

8) Dora magic wand (I think she saw this when she was at Target with Rick. I don't know what it is. You will have to ask him)

9) Cow Clock toy (no idea)

Pumpkin Patch

We went and got our pumpkins today at a pumpkin patch just down the road. We had so much fun picking out the perfect pumpkins and getting really dirty! Elaina insisted on walking everywhere herself and won the prize of the dirtiest pumpkin picker! Just good clean dirt. :) Rick told me that he wanted to get a picture of him and the girls when we got there and then guess what we forgot to do? Whoops. At least we got some really cute pictures of the girls and have some really cool pumpkins to carve and paint.

Heigh Ho and Blankies

Keira was so excited yesterday when I decided to buy "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." It all started back about a month ago when I was trying to teach her new songs because I was tired of all of her standards. I started singing "Heigh Ho" and she really liked it. It has a nice hoppy, marching tune and she could really dance and sing to it. Not too long after that I found a music channel on the TV that only played kids songs. They play tons of Disney songs and they had "Heigh Ho" on all the time. She loved it! So I explained to her that it was from a movie and that it was coming out soon and I would get it for her on Netflix. Well Netflix was dumb and they don't have it available on DVD. So I decided to buy it yesterday. Keira was so excited that we have "Heigh Ho" (the actual name of the movie if you didn't know!) and we watched it yesterday and she was so excited when that part came on! I think the rest is just fluff to her. Too funny.

The other fun thing that is going on at our house is that we have a new member of our family. At least according to Elaina. She is obsessed with her blanket! I guess this is pretty normal for her age but Keira was never like this with anything. She has favorite stuffed animals to sleep with and blankets she prefers but can live without them if they aren't around. Elaina gets her blanket out of her crib early in the morning (or screams in her room until someone comes and gets it if she can't get it out) and drags it around for the day. She is always so excited to see it and loves to cuddle it. It is so cute!
