Happy Birthday, Keira!

Keira officially turns 2 today but we celebrated her birthday on Saturday. She had sooo much fun opening each present and got so much Geico Gecko stuff. She is obsessed with anything Geico especially the Gecko. She couldn't be more excited. She got lots of other fun toys as well including a really nice rocking chair from Great Grandma Inman. She LOVES it. Apparently we didn't get any pictures of Keira's cake or her eating it. I know there is video tape but I have yet to see a picture. We are still gathering them though, since Rick forgot the memory card for our camera. We are so on top of it. So I added the picture of the strawberry shortcake the grown ups had (sugar free, how exciting). We can't believe how big she is getting and can't wait for her to start her role as big sister. I have lots of things to teach her there. ;)

Self Entertainment While the Parents Wait

Today was laundry day which to Keira means she gets to play with the empty laundry baskets. I have been helping Rick with a big project on the computer that we are trying to get done so we can sale it. Keira has been very good (mostly) with entertaining herself while I work on this during the day. Today I turned around to check on her and this is what I found. She had all of her barrettes in the basket with her and was counting them (1,2,3,6,8,9,10, pretty good for a girl who is almost 2). I also love the addition of the hat. She loves to wear hats around the house.

Now for an update on our house and baby that is coming. We are going to be closing on our house either the end of this week or beginning of next week. We feel like it is just hurry up and wait. We hope to be moving in on the 19th of July. The baby has been informed she is NOT allowed to come before that. She is due on the 30th so hopefully that won't be an issue. I cannot wait to be moved and have this baby. I want some cake or cookies or something soooo bad. I am tired of this diet of mine. So lets hope that everything goes well and that July flies by because we are tired of all of this limbo and waiting!

I Think I am Going to Explode!

Here is my belly at 32 1/2 weeks. I can't believe I am still going to be pregnant for 7 more weeks. I feel like the baby is trying to pry her way straight out right now. She is going to have to stay in there though, because we still have way too much to do before she is born.

Some of you may know that we have been looking into buying a house. Well, we placed an offer on one last week and they excepted! We have since gone through the inspection and got that all ironed out so I feel like now it is really happening. Hopefully everything else will go smoothly and we will have a house the first of the month. It is a little house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a nice sized living room and a little fenced in back yard. There is also a huge public yard right out our front door which will be nice if we need room to roam but we don't have to take care of it! My favorite kind of yard. We will get pictures of it up once we take possession of it and can get pictures without stuff in it or our stuff. The people who live there now have a TON of really cool furniture but it is really hard to tell what stuff is with it all being out there. So wish us luck in the coming month or so. And any locals who want to help us move or do some repairs just let us know. ;)

Tag, I'm It!

Ok, Brooke tagged me so here I go.

3 Joys
My family
Anything sweet (and I miss it!)
A good movie or book

3 Fears
Losing one of my kids or husband
Quicksand (I about had a heart attack watching the new Indiana Jones yesterday but it was a DRY SAND PIT. I have to keep chanting that to myself. It is helping a little.)
Being financially unstable

3 Goals
Buying a house (we are so close!)
Having 3 month worth of income in savings
Become more involved with the world outside of my own

Obsessions/collections
Chocolate (I am with you, Brooke)
Spoons from places around the world. My dad just brought me two from Africa. Those are now probably my most exotic ones.
TV. I would probably have it on 24/7 if I could but I try to keep it to a minimum.

Random or Surprising Facts
I would eat treats all day long (and nothing else) if I could get away with it (Still with you Brooke. I even like my savory food really sweet)
I am not a very surprising person because I couldn't think of anything. :)

Everyday Stuff

Nothing much new going on lately so I thought I would post a couple of cutes pics I have of Keira over the past couple of days. I caught her watching TV laying right in front of it. Usually she stands right in front of the screen or sits on the couch or at least farther back. I guess she thought that laying down was much more comfy.
Then on Monday we were at Rick's parents house and she found their rocking horse. She is already a pro at riding the rocking horse at my mom's house so she got right on and started rocking. So much fun. (By the way, Keira doesn't have just one outfit. Those are her pj's which she just happen to be wearing two different days we took these pictures. :)
Just an update on my GD. I got set up yesterday to start taking my blood sugar and got my diet. So far it has been well within limits so I have high hopes that it will be easily controlled like it was with Keira. They told me at the diabetes center yesterday that my test results had come back just 2 points too high of the limit, but it is either pass or fail. UGH! Oh well, thank heavens for Splenda.

When Will it End?

I got a call from the doctors office a while ago with the news that I have GD again. Apparently my babies really do not like me. So I get to set up an appointment to get back on the glucose monitoring and a fun diet. At least I am not sort of panicked and having no idea what to do. Just really annoyed. So the count down begins. 70 days until this baby is born. Rick will be waiting with the chocolate again as soon as she is born. I am already going through withdrawals.

Spring is Here!

Well we have a much happier and cuter girl today so I decided to take some pictures. As you can tell she is in a GREAT mood. She was yelling "hi!" at the camera so most of the pictures I got were of her with her mouth open. As I am typing this out, she is at the piano playing and singing. What a talented girl. When Keira is in this type of mood, Jada sits quietly on the couch and hopes that her joy will not be turned on her. Keira just loves to chase Jada around the room and pat her and "love" her to death. I think that Jada understands that Keira is trying to be nice because she is soooo patient with her but that doesn't mean that Jada likes it!
